i dont think im going to book travel insurance with my flights as ive already got a loan out and am waaaaaay over budget but i’ll get money nxt wk…instead of waiting i want to book the tickets now as the prices keep going up…is it possible?im going to greece in august…my mother said something about whatever credit card you book your ticket under that they have travel insurance that covers you anyway??is that true?

The mighty CNN, in a lengthy and sad online defense of their woe-begotten ‘Sicko’ story of last Monday, has admitted that they did indeed fudge at least two of the facts in their coverage of my film and have apologized for it:

My parents are travelling to USA in feb, 2008. I just want to know whether travel insurance is mandatory for international travellers coming to USA on family visits?
If yes, may i have some insurance plans from reputable companies (at lower cost) which have good customer reviews?

I heard that "Travelers Liberty" plan is quite cheap and good for short trip, but don’t know about the reputation and claim settlement efficiency of the company who is offering this plan.

Swiftly followed by many bag searches both in LA and Bermuda, we finally touched ground on Bermudian soil, only to discover that the Bermuda triangle really does exist!!! As after 15 minutes of waiting for my rucksack to appear (Had Martins already) and us being the last ones out of the immigration queue we realised it was not coming out. So some form filling was done and off we finally went to meet Fi (we hoped she would still be there after all the waiting etc…). Beautiful sunshine was there to greet us, and of course the beautiful Fiona as always (Heike’s pal). So that was very much welcomed after the missing rucksack saga. We were taken on a drive along the coast from the airport along to the other end of the island where Fi and Gareth now live near the Railway Trail. It truly is a beautiful area and you can see why they have chosen to come out here and live with the two boys growing up fast! There’s always plenty to do and see with the great pink sandy beaches (South Shore Beach is the most famous for it’s pink sands) and snorkelling on the reef, you can see countless Sea Cucumbers, Sea Urchins and Fish (Guppies and Sergeant Majors etc…) out there as well as close inside the bays. Further out …

I drove my car to CA from NY last April. Its been an ongoing saga to get it registered here (failed smog once, check engine light problems, unemployed twice, etc) and I’m all ready to register it here. The problem is, when I moved out here, I was unemployed for about a month and I let my insurance lapse for 10 days. NY wanted me to send my plates in to them for 10 days and then go pick them up as a penalty for no insurance for that time. Obviously I couldn’t do that, since I’m on the other side of the country. Now I want to register my car properly since I finally passed smog, but my NY registration is suspended! To make it worse, I can’t find my registration certificate! Am I going to have a problem registering it? Will they take my car? What should I do?
PS – I got it smogged this morning and they sent my results that I passed into the DMV… with my NY license plate number!
